Is the HTC Desire a good android phone to get?

Its pretty much all in the title!
I get to renew my contract soon and am trying to decide if this is a good phone?

Ok, I think you are in the UK, or somewhere there about? If so, I am going to suggest you be just a little bit patient and get the HTC Desire HD. It is supposed to be available in the next month or so.

I understand about wanting to be ahead, but with the way smartphones (Android is an operating system that runs on smartphones) are advancing, even if you get the best device out right now, within six months (at the most) a newer, better device will be released. That is just the way things go.

Anyway, the Desire HD is a beast of a phone from everything Ive seen and heard about it. Look for yourself:
