Everyone love magic and want to use magic, and no matter the kids or the adults, they all have a dream that one day they can go to the magic world. In that place, they can do whatever they want to do and never have a trouble. But everybody knows that can’t realize because there is no magic at all. However, the HTC Magic, the second device launched by the joint-venture HTC and Google is coming here, like the magic of Harry Potter, leads us to the magic world. the Magic makes use of a 3.2-inch HVGA (480×320) touchscreen display making it very finger-friendly and is the main way for navigating around the Android OS. The screen is bright, crisp and clear and very responsive to touch, like tapping and scrolling with a finger swipe. The Magic is equipped with an accelerometer, so tilting it sideways will activate a smooth transition from portrait to landscape. Other than the home screen and dialer, screen rotation works in most other areas of the Android OS. with a built-in software keyboard. This omission means the Magic is impressively slimmer. It measures 4.45 x 2.19 x .54 inches (113 x 55.56 x 13.65 mm) and weighs in at 4.09 oz (116g) with the 1340mAh battery installed. That’s 40g lighter and almost 4mm slimmer than its “elder” brother. Overall, HTC Magic is definitely a good-looking smartphone, even for the most fastidious of users. HTC Magic takes more than decent pictures for a 3-Megapixel module camera. The maximum resolution that can be used is of 2048×1536 pixels. The camera interface is a little bit more complex than G1’s and now benefits from a wide range of settings and options. Users will be able to change Effects, Contrast, Sharpness, and White balance.It is capable of playing a small selection of media file types; MP4 and 3GP video plus a range of audio including MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV and OGG HTC Magic is compatible with all email clients and protocols (POP3, IMAP) and can also be synchronzied with Microsoft Exchange. The rest of the email accounts can be set to be checked at various intervals (five, ten, 30 minutes). The device is also compatible with SMS, EMS, and MMS text features. Instant-messaging options include Google Talk, but other Ims can be also installed. The interface is pretty straightforward and user-friendly. The Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity is another option that will surely reduce costs for those that are heavily using Internet browsing or data transfers. The built-in GPS receiver and digital compass work together with the Google Maps, so that you won’t get lost. HTC Magic is a quad-band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) handset that is also compatible with HSDPA 900/2100 (2100/1700 for American version) networks. The call quality is even better than that of the G1. The GSM signal is also good, but avoid keeping the device set on the 3G band, as the reception is rather mediocre. HTC Magic’s Webkit browser is fantastic, with fast load times, decent navigation and a full desktop-like viewing experience. Cupcake also adds a Google search bar at the top of the home screen, so you are always one-click away from finding an answer to just about any question. Additional pre-installed Google services; Maps, Calendar, GMail and GoogleTalk are all excellent. Internet connections are made by using Wi-Fi. We have found the connectivity to be finicky at times, with web-enabled applications struggling to make a connection even while the phone displays 3G connectivity or an established Wi-Fi connection. After my introduction of HTC Magic, do yo like this magic phone and go to magic world with it ? if you are not so much satisfied with it, I strongly recommend the HTC Hero and HTC G4 to you.
